Payment, Deferral, Refund and Cancellation Policies

Thank you for choosing Kedrus Academy to embark on your journey towards a successful data career. We are committed to providing you with exceptional learning experiences.
1. GENERAL
1.1 These terms outline the Payment, Refund, Deferral and Cancellation Policy for all students and learners of Kedrus Academy (Both for On-Demand Courses, and Live Bootcamps).
1.2 The Content of this Policy applies to:
- Learners signing up for any course on our LMS (kedrusacademy.com)
- All successfully enrolled learners to any Live Bootcamp at Kedrus Academy;
- All training courses and programmes offered by Kedrus Academy Limited.
1.3 By enrolling for a programme at Kedrus Academy, learners agree to accept these terms.
2. PAYMENT POLICY
2.1 Course Schedule and Instalment payment plan for the year 2024 (Live Bootcamps)

2.2 Course fees for our instructor-led bootcamps can be paid once or on installment basis as stipulated in the table above.
2.3 If a prospective student chooses a particular installment payment plan, the student is expected to follow the selected timeline for payment, except in a case where a student seeks for consent to switch payment plan on reasonable grounds.
2.4 All payment for our courses must be made using either the official bank account of the academy or through the available payment gateways on our website. It is the learner’s sole responsibility to follow up on whether payment has been received by Kedrus Academy.
2.5 The Academy will not be held responsible for any payment made to a personal, or third-party account, and will not enroll a student who defaults with this.
2.6 A prospective student on instalment plan is added to the Instalment Wait Group on Telegram, pending when the instalment payment is complete.
2.7 A student on an installment plan is only eligible for enrolment into the bootcamp when the chosen payment plan has been completed. The student is thereby removed from the Instalment wait Group and added to the next available cohort.
2.8 So enrollment is not complete until Kedrus Academy has received full payment of the associated program fees whether in full or instalment.
2.9 Initiating a payment dispute without prior contact with Kedrus Academy may result in the student being banned from future enrollments and access to course materials.
2.10 Kedrus Academy will send an email to the student confirming enrollment when all fees have been received timeously. The student bears the responsibility to ensure that Kedrus Academy have received the funds.
NB: Our trainings are constantly undergoing changes in order to be as impactful as they can be for our students. Through these iterations, they inevitably change in length of program as content is added or subtracted. This iteration process may lead to varying costs for future cohorts.
3. DEFERRAL POLICY FOR BOOTCAMPS
3.1 If a student fails to attend the very first cohort they enrolled for, they can defer their enrollment 1 time, to any other cohort they choose within the same year.
3.2 The student must give notice of deferral within 72 hours after the bootcamp/cohort commencement.
3.3 If a student did not initiate deferral request within 72 hours after course commencement, deferral request will not be reviewed.
3.4 If a student is unable to attend the cohort in which their admission was deferred to for tangible reasons, and if the one year time interval has not elapsed, the student must give a 1 week notice for 2nd deferral consideration before the start of the programme and cohort they initially deferred to, or stand the risk of losing admission.
3.5 Please note that any student who did not follow the procedure stated in 3.4 above will automatically lose their admission. Kedrus Academy will not refund a student in this case.
3.6 A student who did not attend the bootcamp by the second cohort they deferred to will automatically loose his/her admission whether its within one year or not, no refund is provided by Kedrus Academy in this case
3.7 A student who has lost his/her admission based on any of the conditions above, but wishes to still enroll at Kedrus Academy the 3rd time, such student is permitted to make a fresh enrollment at 30% discount of the current course price.
3.8 Please note that deferral to the next cohort is not guaranteed. All deferral requests are subject to review based on the validity of the reason for deferral.
3.9 Course enrolment cannot be deferred to a start term more than 12 months after the original enrolment cohort. Which means, you must defer to a cohort within a maximum of 1 year interval.
3.10 To request a deferral within the qualifying period, a future date must be identified and communicated with Kedrus Academy immediately. In the event that the request is accepted, the rescheduled date is limited to one time and only for the same programme.
4. REFUND POLICY
4.1 Full Refund Eligibility:
We offer a full refund of the training fee if Kedrus Academy fails to enroll the student into the Telegram classroom, fails to provide links for joining live classes, or fails to give Access to our learning management system (LMS) within a reasonable time frame, exceeding 72 hours from the commencement of learning.
4.2 Partial Refund Eligibility:
A partial refund, minus a flat fee of 10,000 Naira, is available if the student is not enrolled into the Telegram classroom, nor received learning resource links or access to our LMS for the first week of course commencement, due to technical issues from the parties involved or oversight of any kind, and requests refund for any reason.
4.3 No Refund Eligibility:
No refund will be provided if the student has been successfully enrolled into the Telegram classroom and provided with learning resources, or granted access to our LMS regardless of the students attendance to scheduled live classes or taking the on-demand courses.
No refund is provided for a student whose admission has been successfully deferred to another cohort for whatsoever reason.
No refund is also provided for a prospective student on an instalment plan, who is yet to complete the plan and access the class and training resources.
For no-shows, payment is also non-refundable. A “No Show” is defined as the learner not showing up on the date the programme starts, and there was no prior communication from the learner to cancel or reschedule the programme.
4.4 Refund Request Process
To initiate a refund request, students must contact our customer support team at [kedrusacademy5@gmail.com].
4.5 Students must provide detailed reasons for the refund request along with any supporting documentation.
4.6 Refund requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to deny refunds that do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined in above.
5. CANCELLATION POLICY
5.1 Kedrus Academy may at its sole discretion cancel or reschedule any bootcamp for any reason, including the occurrence of a Force Majeure event (which includes, but is not limited to any event that is not in Kedrus Academy’s control that prevents any course or program from being delivered) and will attempt to provide at least seven (7) business days notice when cancelling or rescheduling. However, programs may be canceled or rescheduled without warning.
5.2 Program fees paid up to the point of cancellation or rescheduling will be refunded to enrolled learners if the delivery of a course or program is affected by a Force Majeure event.
5.3 If a course or program is canceled or rescheduled for any reason other than a Force Majeure event, Kedrus Academy will at the learner’s request, refund the fees paid for the canceled program or credit the fees toward the fees chargeable for a rescheduled program.
5.4 Kedrus Academy assumes no liability for any costs that may be incurred in the unlikely event of a programme cancellation or rescheduling.
6. SUBSTITUTION OF LEARNERS
6.1 Substitutions of one learner for another for a specific enrollment are NOT accepted.
7. DISCLAIMER, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
7.1 No warranty
KEDRUS ACADEMY MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY ABOUT ANY OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS OR THE PAYMENT METHODS MENTIONED HEREIN, INCLUDING ANY REPRESENTATION THAT THE COURSES OR PAYMENT METHODS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE PROVIDE THESE SERVICES (INCLUDING CONTENT AND INFORMATION) ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
7.2. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER KEDRUS ACADEMY, NOR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES WILL ASSUME ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, COSTS, DAMAGES OR LOSSES INCURRED OR SUFFERED BY ANY STUDENT AS A RESULT OF:
- a program being canceled or rescheduled for any reason;
- failed payments;
- any learner’s failure to confirm receipt of payments by Kedrus Academy;
- payments made using incorrect banking details;
- any learner’s misconduct, misrepresentation, negligence, or provision of inaccurate information;
- any action or omission by a third party.
7.2.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KEDRUS ACADEMY, INCLUDING ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, WILL NOT BE LIABLE IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
7.2.3 KEDRUS ACADEMY, INCLUDING ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO LEARNERS IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS FOR ANY AMOUNT THAT EXCEEDS THE TOTAL FEES PAID OR PAYABLE BY LEARNERS TO KEDRUS ACADEMY FOR THE SERVICES/PROGRAMS.
7.3 Indemnity:
7.3.1 Learners hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Kedrus Academy, its directors, employees, contractors, affiliates from and against any third-party claims, demands, losses, expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your enrollment in any of the Kedrus Academy programmes;
- your violation of these terms;
- your violation of any rights of a third party.
8. Policy Modification:
Kedrus Academy retains the right to modify any aspect of this policy at any time. Any revisions will take effect immediately and be communicated to all students.
By enrolling in a course at Kedrus Academy, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
